Bernie Sanders has quite the fan base.
The Hill reports:
Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders drew 10,000 supporters, the largest crowd of his campaign thus far, according to reports.
“Tonight, we have more people at any meeting for a candidate of president of the United States than any other candidate,” Sanders told his fans at Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Madison, Wis., according to the Associated Press.
This doesn’t surprise me in the least. For years, I’ve been hearing from my far-left friends that Sanders is their number one (Elizabeth Warren isn’t far behind). Academics, in particular, adore the unapologetic socialist who openly advocates for wealth redistribution and seeks equality of outcomes rather than equality of opportunity.
So, why is Sanders drawing such big crowds?
First off, many on the far left can’t stand Hillary. Some will vote for her if they have to (while biting their tongues), others will write in Sanders no matter what…or stay home altogether.
Also, Sanders stands for something. I find his rhetoric absurd and his policies laughable, but I absolutely believe that he believes what he’s saying. There’s an authenticity there that Hillary lacks.
But what does it say about the electorate?
I’m really curious to see how well Sanders does. Because if wealth demonization, overspending, and taxing the hell out of people who have the nerve to succeed is a successful selling point among a good portion of Americans, we’re in trouble. Big trouble. But it’s valuable information.
So, keep your eye on Sanders. Because even if he loses significantly to Hillary, the size and strength of his fan base may be quite telling about where the voting public stands and what their mindset looks like.
And one message to GOP candidates: being real matters. Lose the talking points. If the public doesn’t believe that you believe what you’re saying, you won’t have a shot.

Hillary’s campaign has been lackluster. She avoids issues and her “people” know she does not have the charisma but Democrats WILL vote for her because as Dig the Bounty Hunter said, you get her AND Bill, 2 for 1. The Dems really just want Bill and know voting for her will be as close as they can get.
It doesn’t matter which one is the party’s candidate, either will be equally bad for the country. They both owe their souls to the far left money people (the ones who attended the private meeting in Chicago and the attendee’s id’s were secret). Was that followed up on and I just missed it? It doesn’t really matter what the “candidate” is for or against, the platform will be decided by these money people and you can bet it is going to be a far left Marxist/Socialist agenda. They are poised to finish off what they started when they put their “groomed” Obama into office. It really doesn’t matter who the figurehead is though I am sure they would prefer a female to lure other females to vote because they think it’s going to help their agenda. We all know the Dems have been courting Hispanics, females and gays. It doesn’t take a genius to understand that strategy.
Unfortunately, conservatives have been asleep at the wheel. The conservative candidate needs to be very strong and capable of overcoming AND meeting headon the onslaught by the liberal media which is just waiting in the wings to viciously attack.
Sorry, that should have read DOG the Bounty Hunter. He made the statement when he was a guest on Fox’s “Outnumbered”. I don’t put a lot of credence on his opinions but this may be what a lot of people are thinking.

But it’s valuable information.” The increasing size of crowds at Bernie Sanders’ events are effectively signaling that a growing percentage of the population however not yet the majority, have not only been successfully conditioned to accept his ludicrous and dangerous socialist positions as viable and worth enacting, but to view them as actually preferable to capitalism. Make no mistake about it. We are already at what I would consider the “big trouble” point in this country. A growing percentage of Americans have bought into the fantasy Utopian vision of socialism hook, line and sinker. This is especially true in the vast majority of the 40 and under crowd, who have been continuously inundated with socialist propaganda, via the mainstream media and a complicit public education system, all their lives. Many have effectively been trained to be just like Pavlov’s dog. To reflexively accept these ludicrous socialist values as not only correct, but superior to virtually everything this country was founded on.
I realize that this article probably won’t end up in this weekend’s edition of the AMAC newsletter, which is a shame. For whatever reason, AMAC seems focused on just one or two issues to the exclusion of all else.
