Party Labels vs. Policy

Check out some interesting numbers from Gallup: In the second quarter of 2015, Democrats regained an advantage over Republicans in terms of Americans’ party affiliation. A total of 46% of Americans identified as Democrats (30%) or said they are independents who lean toward the Democratic Party (16%), while 41% identified as Republicans (25%) or leaned Republican (16%). The two parties were generally even during the previous three quarters, including the fourth quarter of 2014, when the midterm elections took place.

Does this worry you?

Some questions to think about…

Why is this happening?

Does this have more to do with the way people perceive the labels “Democrat” and “Republican” than whether they support the actual policies behind those labels?

Can the right marketing and outreach change these findings?

If they polled people based on issues rather than party labels, would the findings be different?

The Democrat Party is a criminal organization masquerading as a political party.

I see this article also didn’t make the cut this weekend. I would love to understand the selection process used to determine what merits the weekend newslettter.

PaulO-bama, Hillary says Marxist, Marxist, Marxist, on HER label, label, label … as in HER writing her college thesis on Saul Alinsky and HIS Rules for Radicals … which is a blueprint for establishing a Marxism/Communism form of government here in the USA! … Today’s so-called Democratic Party is responsible for ALL but one being in effect today. …. Only gun control remains and WE ALL KNOW which party is pushing THAT agenda, don’t we? … By the way, are you getting tired of just saying yes, yes, yes on the Progreessive websites to bring your half-wit remarks here? … You’re really NOT fooling anyone with your progressive charm! … I think we should start referring to you as “BuckO” … as in, “the Buck NEVER stops here” mentality. … AARP calls, keep buying!

Well with the media, almost all of academia and relentless sound bites from Democrats, who are given air time on demand, all relentlessly portraying Republicans as “evil, greedy, dishonest people out to destroy the planet” and Democrats being portrayed as “good, decent, honest people trying to save the planet from the evil Republicans”, who do you think the average uninformed and totally apathetic person on the street wants to be associated with? It’s called conditioning the public to obtain the outcome desired. Also most polls are very poorly constructed intentionally to skew the results in the way the backers of the polls want the outcome to be. So it’s NOT surprising that we end up with results like this.
