National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day is a solemn opportunity for each and every citizen of our great nation to look back on a defining moment in American history. Today we honor those who lost their lives in the attack on the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, in the early morning hours of December 7, 1941. Thousands of Americans died in the surprise assault, which lasted no longer than 90 minutes.
Those who died that fateful morning did not see themselves as heroes, but as fathers, husbands, brothers, and sons; driven by duty, selflessness, and love of country.
As Americans today enjoy the freedom these men died to defend, we are called upon to remember their sacrifice. On December 7, 1941, these sons of our nation became heroes. They will live forever in our memory.
May God bless them, and may God bless America.
The action needed. Is. PRAYER.
