AMAC Magazine Exclusive – The Biden Administration Socks It to Seniors with Medicare Part B Increase

By: Andrew Mangione

Last November, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a press release announcing increases in both the Medicare Part B premium and its deductible. According to the press release, Part B “covers physician services, outpatient hospital services, certain home health services, durable medical equipment, and certain other medical and health services not covered by Medicare Part A.”

The part B price increase is punishment for getting a COLA of more than 1%. Between the part B increase and a rental increase I netted $3. So will probably end up losing my mobile home because I can’t afford to pay the property taxes which are ridiculous!

Just another reason to throw Biden out of office by decertification of electors in states that have proven ballot stealing and manipulating.

A word to the wise: Don’t think your military Tri-Care for Life or your Trier 1 Combat VA Disability is going to get you out of this mess. It’s not. You’re required to enroll in Part B when eligible or pay a substantial penalty later on. So, look forward to paying, like me 3 times the regular rate of Part B, to the tune of $1000+ per quarter now. And the hits just keep on comin…..

He would think a lot differently if he had the same retirement as social security recipients do but he, being in congress all his adult life and congress has an entirely different retirement plan, he doesn’t care about the seniors at all!

Social security benefit increase 5.9%, 7.5% inflation, MEDICARE PAYMENT INCREASES…result ….we seniors fall farther behind. A very bad trick pulled on the Seniors. The Biden Administration has forgotten …..WE VOTE.

I was surprised by the size of the increases in the Medicare premium and the deductible. Reading the article, I learned that these increases are the largest in Medicare history, so now I’m angry as well.

Well Kim, it is usual for whatever the Social Security hike happens to be to be chewed up by an equally sized Medicare premium hike. It is a zero-sum game after all. As are a most government benefit programs. Since we’re now running the highest inflation rates in 40 years, due to a series of incredibly bad Democrat policy decisions in 2021 plus the additional 2.4 million illegals we’ve let into our country last year that are magically being given “free healthcare”, you had to expect that whatever the government gave you with one hand would be quickly taken away with the other hand.

The road to serfdom is never a pleasant nor painless experience. Ask any of the folks from countries like Argentina, Venezuela and the other so-called socialist Utopias how their transitions from formerly rich and productive nations to abject poverty went. You’ll be surprised how many similarities there are between what happened to them and what we’re in the process of doing now. Prepare for the fun that still to come our way.

Yes, PaulE, that inflation is sure to deflate any progress we could have made with someone else in the White House. Biden essentially taxed us an additional 7.5%–and climbing–because of his party’s stupid spending sprees. It’s like trying to inflate a balloon after someone stuck a pin in it.
